Have you had your air conditioner tuned up yet this spring? If not, give us a call and we’ll perform any necessary maintenance and repairs to get your system ready to keep you cool all summer long. Maybe your air conditioner has reached the end of its useful life and it needs to be replaced. If you do need a new A/C, now’s the time to get one. Temperatures and humidity levels are quickly rising, and summer’s right around the corner.

Reasons to Replace Your Air Conditioner

Your Energy Bills Have Increased

If your energy bills are higher than they have been in the past or higher than you think they should be, your air conditioner may be running less efficiently and it may be getting worn down from years of use. If your unit is maintained properly, and it’s still in good shape, this shouldn’t happen.

Your Home Doesn’t Cool Evenly

If your home seems warm or humid in some places and too cold in others, there are a few possible causes.

  • Your air conditioner is the wrong size for your home. Whether your AC is too powerful or not powerful enough, it will wear out faster than it should and won’t be able to cool your home as efficiently as possible. Make sure you have a certified, knowledgeable professional install your new system for you.
  • Your AC is old. The answer may be as simple as old age. As ACs get older, they lose their efficiency standards.
  • You’ve added on to or renovated your home. If your home has been remodeled or renovated and you still have the same air conditioner as before the change, it may no longer be the right size to effectively cool your home. It might be time to update.

It Needs To Be Repaired Frequently

Another sign that your air conditioner is nearing the end of its lifecycle is when it requires frequent repairs. Would you rather continue to pay for replace parts or for a service technician to come out and fix your system, or would you rather put that money towards a new system that may not cause you problems for years to come? Decide which if the more frugal option.

Your Air Conditioner Is More Than 10 Years Old

According to Energy Star, if your air conditioner is over 10 years old, you should replace it. Not only will a new air conditioner save you money and cool your home more effectively but newer units are required by law to be more efficient than some older ones. Look for a unit that has earned the Energy Star label when shopping around.

What our clients say about us

The team at Cyclone Contracting just finished up installing our new living room window and it looks amazing! Dave, Cody, Rodney and Hunter did amazing work, communicated great and treated our house like there own while they were here. Great experience!

Charlie H.

We had Cyclone Contracting do a bathroom remodel. There were some hiccups along the way, as in almost any construction project, and they were handled promptly and professionally. We love our new bathroom!

Jolene W.

We used Cyclone Contractors for the remodel of our bathroom and it was worth every penny. They worked hard to design a bathroom that was within our budget. It’s not only a beautiful bathroom but it’s functional for our lifestyle as well. Their team (subcontractors too) were all professional, responsive, and kind throughout the project.

Liz M.

Had my front porched remodeled by Cyclone Construction. The work they did was outstanding, and Nathan, Dave, Cody, and Milo were great to work with. Will definitely use them again if I've got any major remodeling work that I need to have done.

JR T.

We hired Cyclone Contracting to put up blinds in our sunroom and we couldn't be happier! Michelle came out and was a huge help with the selection. I couldn't have done it without her. They came in yesterday after only four weeks and Dan and DJ came out today for the installation. They were great and very knowledgeable about their product. Everyone was fantastic from start to finish!
