More true brown tones are coming into their wood finish lines (replacing red tones). Windows are one of the easiest ways to incorporate nature into a space. Warm, bright, natural light can perk up any room. Having windows throughout your house may seem like a no brainer, but you can add more or larger windows or skylights to increase the amount of natural light in your home. Adding windows also allows you to look out at nature. If you aren’t able to incorporate more windows into your home, try installing lights and bulbs that brighten up your space.

Add Warm And Color With A Fireplace

Fireplaces are another great way to bring nature into your home. Often the focal point of a room, a fireplace creates warmth in multiple ways. Obviously, fire lets off heat, but the colors and natural elements on the fireplace surround can also give your home an outdoorsy, rustic, and warm feel. Stacked stone on the surround and hearth and a wooden mantelpiece are two common materials used on fireplaces. More contemporary units may have stone inside the fireplace itself instead of traditional logs.
